What is Qi Gong?
Qi (pronouced chee) Gong (pronouced Gung, as lung) means “working with vital life energy”:
– using gentle movement
– breathing techniques
– and meditation
to cleanse, strengthen and circulate life energy (Qi)
Can you tell me more about Qi?
We live in a field of Qi, “vital breath” or “life energy”
Yet, like a fish in water or a bird in flight
we are often unaware of the medium that supports us
About Medical Qi Gong
The Yijing medical Qigong System is a compilation of self-healing exercises and Qi emission therapeutic treatment techniques based on Daoist medical Qigong and Yijing (I-Ching) theories.
The Yijing medical is one of the main branches of Chinese medicine. It originates from the practices of Daoist shamanic healers.
A tune up of the Bagua (eight trigram) balancing treatment protocol will be used with purgation, tonification and circulation techniques. It also gives the opportunity to sense and treat further imbalances.
The Yijing medical Qigong is used to treat Mental and Emotional Disorders, like PTSD, Shen (Spirit) disturbance, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, stressed -based insomnia, and general mood disturbances. This treatment protocol called “the 13 Ghost Points” calms the spirit , raises the clear yang Qi for clarity and focus, drains phlegm and / or heat from the heart, lungs and mind. It also tonifies the spleen to prevent the recurrence of phlegm and dampness.
The “13 Ghost Points” treatment can be used after the Bagua balancing protocol or after treating a specific disorder. It can also be used as a stand-alone treatment. “Restore the sinews” is a technique to rebuild the energy of the patients. This treatment is very efficient for chronic diseases like fibromyalgia, arthritis, etc.

What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture began in China and has been documented for over 3,000 years. It utilizes ancient maps of pressure points located on meridians which refer to the body’s energy, or Qi. By inserting needles into the skin at different depths, treatment encourages the body to heal itself by releasing tension. Only since 1971 has it been known in the United States. The National Institute of Health and the World Health Organization currently recognize Acupuncture to be an effective treatment for a wide variety of illnesses.
